FC Seoul's ex-Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has returned to the training pitch just 12 days after undergoing knee surgery.

The former United winger suffered a knee injury last month and has not played for FC Seoul since March 16 as a result having undergone surgery. On Wednesday, however, the English player shared a positive update on his condition while taking to social media.

The 31-year-old shared photos from his rehab session on Instagram where he can be seen back on the training pitch with the FC Seoul coaching staff. In the caption he wrote: "Progressing quickly, 12 days post operation."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Since moving to the K League in January, Lingard has played just 105 minutes for his new club. Seoul's coach Kim Ki-dong has also questioned his role in the team as he has struggled to live up to expectations in South Korea.
