The series follows the events that have transpired since the acquisition of Wrexham AFC by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2020. The first season documented the Welsh club's attempt to secure promotion back to the Football League.

The pilot episode, 'Dream', was aired on August 24, 2022, and after the massive success of season one, the second season, which centres around Wrexham's National League title-winning season in 2022-23, was released on September 12, 2023, in the U.S., and in the UK it was released a day later.

WHAT WAS SAID

President of FX Entertainment, Nick Grad, has said of the third season renewal: "The wild global success of Welcome to Wrexham is a testament to the courage and vision of Rob and Ryan, the dogged spirit of the Red Dragons, and the hope and devotion of the people of Wrexham.

"It’s a story that has only begun to be told and one that everyone can continue to follow along with in the third season. Our thanks to the creative team who captured these thrilling moments and everyone who achieved what seemed impossible only a short time ago."
